What does each EV Offer

1. Peak Power & Torque

Ola and Simple Energy are far ahead of Ather 450X. Ola S1 and Simple One offer a motor with a peak power capacity of 8.5kW and 7kW while Ather 450X gets 6kW peak power capacity. The torque output seems to be highest on Simple One i.e at 72 Nm and on the other hand, the Ola S1 series provides 58 Nm. Ather 450X stands last in this aspect with 26 Nm of torque output.

2. Battery Range & Charging Time
The battery seems to be pretty decent on all three scooters. However, the Simple One is at the top with a 4.8 kWh battery with a range on a single charge of 236 km. Ola stands in the middle position as S1 contains 2.98 kWh of battery capacity and S1 pro contains 3.97 kWh battery capacity. S1 and S1 pro range around 121 km and 181 km on a single charge. Ather 450X stands on the bottom with a 2.9 kWh battery pack and a range of 116 km per charge. (All ranges are per IDC standards).

As Ola S1 and S1 pro come with a portable home charger the normal charging speed is claimed at 4.48 hours and 6.30 hours. However, if we plug it with a fast charger both can charge to 50 per cent in just 18 minutes. This fast charging is known as Ola Hypercharger where 100,000 + charging points across 400 cities of India. On the other hand, despite having a bigger battery, the Simple One removable battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 2.5 hours through a 15A socket charger. Now, if fast charging is possible then Simple One can be charged at a rate of 2.5 km per minute up to 80% of charging. Lastly, the Ather 450X takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes in normal charging whereas fast-charging is at a rate of 1.5 km per minute.

3. Top Speed & Acceleration
Ola and Simple Energy are neck-and-neck in terms of top speed and 0-40 acceleration. S1 max out at 90 kmph while S1 pro is even faster with a whopping speed of 115 kmph. Simple One easily touches 105 kmph and when it comes to top speed Ather 450X is restricted to 80 kmph.

When talking about the acceleration of all 3 scooters, the Simple One is the fastest with touching 0-40 kmph in just 2.95 seconds. Ola S1 and S1 pro-finish 0-40 kmph mark under 3 seconds. Ather 450X is a little slower as compared to the S series by taking 3.3 seconds for 0-40 kmph acceleration.

From the above point by point examination, every one of the electronic scooters is completely pressed as far as provisions, determinations, and the execution cost. If you are looking for a budget-friendly electric two-wheeler under 1 Lakh then Ola S1 will be a great deal for you. However, if your budget raises above 1 Lakh then you can also opt for Simple One. It offers great convenience in terms of a portable battery, features like Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), software, etc. Ola S1 pro is not a bad option if you look into some advanced features like cruise control, riding modes, etc. it beats or stays up with the competition.
